She dug her French manicured nails into the small of his back and soft moans escaped her lips when he traced his tongue against the sensitive parts of her body. “Ummm.” He thrusted his thick hardened flesh inside her womanhood. “Mmmm…yeah daddy. Just like that.” He pumped harder and their hips moved in a simultaneous rhythm. It was an explosion waiting to happen. His body stiffened and her insides burned for him to go deeper and deeper as she wrapped her legs around his muscular mid section to keep him in position. Grabbing a fold of the red silk sheets, her back arched as he began to take her to the point of no return. “OH YES…OH…”
RING…RING…
Carla opened her eyes due to the loud rings and looked down to see her hands squeezed between her thighs. “FUCK! I was almost there,” she fumed. Upset that her orgasmic dream was interrupted, Carla stretched her arm and reached for the handset on her nightstand. Without looking at the caller ID, she quickly answered with the intention to hurry and get whoever it was off the line.
“Hello,” she panted. Her dream seemed so real that it had her temporarily out of breath and beads of sweat lined her forehead.
“Hey stranger, how have you been?” the deep baritone voice on the other end of the receiver asked.
Carla raised her head from the pillow and looked at the clock that sat on her night stand. It read 11:45 p.m. It had been raining all day and she didn’t realize how long she’d fallen asleep. Becoming annoyed, she plopped her head back down on the pillow and blurted, “Who is this? I really don’t have time for any bullshit guessing games tonight.”
Just when I was about to have a fucking orgasm, she thought.
“Calm down, Carla. It’s me, Antoine.”
Carla cut her eyes and wished he could’ve seen her do it through the phone. Damn! Why didn’t I check the caller ID before I answered, she thought.
“Oh, it’s you. What do you want?” Her voice was filled with attitude. She hoped that he would sense the manner and hang up.
“Is this a bad time?” Antoine asked. He sensed that Carla wasn’t too thrilled with hearing his voice. But that didn’t discourage him from wanting to strike up a conversation.
Not giving an immediate response, Carla paused and then Antoine asked, “So, how have you been doing? I mean, we haven’t spoken in months…”
“As a matter of fact, this is a bad time. I thought I told you to lose my number and not to call me anymore.” Her voice got loud.
It all happened two months ago when Carla saw an ad for internet hook ups and decided to give it a try. According to the results from the input data, it was suggested that Antoine would be a perfect match for her. It was her first time doing anything like that, but the desperate need for a man had Carla testing all her options. She always saw the commercials on TV, and thought that maybe the shit would work for her too. “Hell, I don’t see the harm in this,” she remembered herself saying after she’d click the ‘accept’ link on her Mac Notebook laptop.
She’d immediately sent Antoine an email and they planned to meet up at the movie theatre to watch the latest Tyler Perry production. They’d exchanged photos and phone numbers via the internet and from the looks of his picture, Carla knew that he wasn’t the typical man that she would date, but figured she would test the waters and try him out. In his photo, Antoine rocked shoulder length dreads and his brown complexion made him resemble a thugged out version of Eric Benet. He flaunted a warm inviting smile and there was something about his dark, mysterious eyes that intrigued her. Within the first week of them getting acquainted, it reached the point where they would converse on the phone every night and she had to admit that Antoine had a way with words. He would tell her things like, “I fall asleep with your picture under my pillow at night” or “I can’t wait to treat you like the queen you are.” She had to admit that he was flattering. Maybe it was the lack of not having a man in her life that made her naively buy into it. Before she knew it, Antoine was feeding her from the palm of his hands. It wasn’t until he stood her up for another woman, that Carla realized how much of a gamester he was.
Carla decided to have nothing to do with Antoine after he stood her up for their movie date. Not only did he stand her up, but the low down geezer had the nerve to bring another bitch to the movies on the same night he planned with her. After waiting for an hour and a half, the movie was already rolling. She called him ‘til her damn fingers hurt and not once did he have the decency to pick up. Fed up, Carla decided she was not going to wait any longer. She walked outside of the AMC theatre and her eyes popped open when she spotted Antoine standing in line hugged up with a chocolate colored skin, blue weave wearing hood rat. “That’s what I get for trying that damn internet dating gimmick”, she’d mumbled. Her first impulse was to walk over to him and give him a piece of her mind, but he wasn’t worth it. He wasn’t her man, but she couldn’t believe he had played her like that. Instead, she held her head straight, not wanting him to see her, and ran all the way to the parking lot. Carla knew that she could do better than him. Furthermore, she is a dime piece. She could’ve had any man she wanted, but she had standards and was not willing to settle for just anything or anyone. That would be the last time she tried internet dating.
“I’m busy, I gotta go.”
“Please, hear me out Carla. I know I messed up and I’m calling to see if there’s anything….”
“Not interested.” She cut him off. After saying those two words, Carla mashed the end button and slammed her handset on the base, without giving him a chance to finish his sentence. The only thing Antoine would hear is the automated operator telling him, “If you would like to make a call please hang up and try your call again.”
